COACH ZANE RODUNER

Assistant Stars Coach

Zane has been a member of the Post 320 coaching staff for 11 years. He became a member of the staff after completing a successful career as a player for Post 320. Zane has been involved in baseball at all levels and participated in Harney Little League. He was a member of the 1999 Harney League All-Stars that competed in the Central Plains Regional Tournament in Indianapolis.

Zane was voted Most Valuable Player for the Risers in 2002. As a varsity player, he was selected to the South Dakota American Legion All State Team as a 3rd baseman in 2005 and 2006.

Zane graduated high school from Central High School in Rapid City. He then went on to graduate from Dakota State University with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health. He was also a member of the Trojan baseball team during his time there. He was named to the All-Conference team both his Junior and Senior seasons and also won a Gold Glove award for his defense during his junior year. In 2014, he completed his Master’s Degree at Northern State University in Sports Performance and Leadership. While at NSU he was a graduate assistant for the Wolves baseball team under head coach Dean Berry who was also his college coach at Dakota State. During the 2014 season the Northern State Baseball Program finished with a school record 28 wins in a season and made the conference tournament for the first time in school history since transferring into Division II baseball and the NSIC Conference. His primary responsibility is working with the infielders.

Zane is employed by the Rapid City School District and currently teaches Computers at North Middle School. He and his wife, Stacy have been married since September, 2015 and have a daughter, Brooke (19) who attends Northern State University and a son, Austin (17) who is a Junior at Central High School.
