Head Coach

 

Paul will be entering his sixth year at the helm for Post 320. He has led the Stars to a 153 - 115 record over the last five years with a sixth place finish at the state tournament in 2015 and finished third in the state last year. He will be entering his 23rd year coaching baseball, 19th as the head coach of an organization. He and his family moved to Rapid City from Allen, Texas where he was the head baseball coach at Allen High School for thirteen years.  He led the Eagles to a 272 – 113 mark and eleven post season appearances in that time. He also helped develop nine class 5A Texas High School All State players and three Louisville Slugger High School All Americans. He had eighty nine players move on to college baseball, twenty one to division one universities.  He also has had 10 players drafted in the major league draft, five out of high school and five more from college. In the summer of 2012 he had his first former player make it to the major league level.  He was named district coach of the year twice and Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year once.

In high school he was a three sport all state player in football, basketball, and baseball his senior year and was named the region one athlete of the year in Oklahoma. He then went on to play college baseball for the Savages of Southeastern State University and then finished up his playing career for Northeastern State University. He then was a student assistant coach for one year for the Redmen.

He currently teaches Weight Training/Health at Rapid City High School.  His wife, Courtney, teaches at Stevens. They have a six year old son, Cael, and a four year old daughter, Pyper.
